Interesting!
No, not BB King concert (only saw him perform 1 song).

What was fascinating was that a young wild owl (I think), barely able to fly
very high or for long (wet and confused and maybe hurt in some way
because it's wing seemed to be out of place or underdeveloped)
caught my attention mid-way through Jeff Beck's performance.

First, the bird plopped down within a few inches, right in my path
(I had gone to the bathroom) and seemed stunned (a little "leaned
over"). I tried to pick it up, but it flew just enough to land on
the back of someone's lawn chair (there were a lot of people in the
lawn area). The person in the lawnchair did not notice although it
rested there for a minute while I was inching closer to it. In fact,
absolutely no one noticed that I was chasing this little bird all
around the packed lawn area - no one noticed the bird at all even
though it was flopping around right in front of them - kids, adults,
lovers, dancers, clappers, sitters, kissers, drinkers, gray long-
haired hippie guys, young women with pierced belly buttons, etc.
(maybe THEY were enjoying the concert instead!).

So, I would just get within reach and it would fly off just a bit
further. This "almostness" kept on for 15 minutes in the lawn area,
and then, again, I almost caught the bird (even touched him) but a
little breeze came along and lifted the bird up and over to the
chair-back seating area (where the rich people sit for $40). I
didn't have a ticket for that area but convinced the "seat police"
to let me pursue a sick baby owl. Can't believe he fell for the
story, but he let me search. I caught sight of it again between a
few rows, mid-section (luckily the seats were empty). I slowly
approached, talked to it and it stayed very still, but as soon as I
tried to catch it - there it goes again back towards the lawn area.
It flew right directly above the "seat policeman's" head (I think
the bird wanted to land on his head) and tumbled to the ground. I
asked the guy if he saw where the bird went and he said "I didn't
see a bird!". Oy vey!

(Yiddish expression - the "oy" is only found in the Bible meaning
"woe"; "vey" is German, used by Ashkenazic Jews to express pain and
anguish and suffering.)

So again, what amazed me, was that absolutely no one saw or noticed
that little owl except me! Well, I kept looking for it, but after
that, I never saw it again. Here's an obviously sick little owl
landing on chairs, practically on top of people, right in front on
people (within reach), and that it was totally unnoticed! (As you
can tell, this apparent invisibility really puzzled me!)

Oh, and BB King came on so late that I only saw him play one song
and then left before the 5000 other cars left the parking area.
Besides my friend, Donna, had to get up at 5AM and go hiking, so I
didn't want to keep her out too late and the parking exodus always
takes another hour at least.

I dreamt about the owl last night - and woke up thinking about it.
How sad and hurt it was. I was so upset that I couldn't catch it,
to help it out. I was dumbfounded that no one noticed it although I
don't understand how in the world anyone could have NOT noticed!
But, it wasn't meant to be - like so many other things I pursue with
good intentions! All the while I was chasing this illusive owl, I
had plans on who to call (the Wild Bird rescue people), and that I
would leave the concert right away, dry it off carefully, and put it
in a warm, comfy box and give it some water with an eyedropper after
stopping at a nearby Walgreens, and maybe find it a worm or a
bug.... Is this called a "savior complex" ? ha!

Of course, I had to analyze my distraction during most of the
concert by a little hurt owl, chasing it hither and thither, coming
sooooo close to my open and ready hands. And I had to analogize, of
course - hmmm, I chase "wisdom", or a desire to help, and the more I
pursue an illusive goal, the further it gets. And then I considered
the fact that others didn't even notice this sick little bird and
wondered "why?". They know when to mind their own business? It was
up to me, a "do or die" sort of task, and I failed it, forced to
leave it in nature's hands, out of my control (was it okay? did it
die of cold and loneliness? did it get trampled to death when the
concert was over?).

Maybe there's a lesson for me -

or maybe there was a little owl that I couldn't catch at the BB King
concert last night. (Maybe it was a baby quail!! hmmm)
