I stumbled upon this pile of rocks off-trail. A puzzle, no doubt! As much as I love to solve mysteries, I left it as-is. The "rocks" here are primarily lava. We are surrounded by volcano. Oddly, I will come across pure white, small rock chips on the trail - they seem to fall out of the sky. Because I walk this trail twice a day, I know that this occurs about twice a month, always catching my attention. I'll have to ask Bear Heart about this phenomenon.
